Elizabeth Arden Intervene Radiance Boosting Face Cream

This has got to be my third tub of this moisturiser by Elizabeth Arden. I had started using it last year, when I was recommended by the beautician because of my dry skin. I have to say when I started using it, the results were amazing and my skin felt very smooth. This moisturiser was only good for the winters because it felt very heavy on my skin during the summers (however I still continued to use it throughout the summer, which was fine as long as I didnt pile on any other products like foundation).

The smell is a little strong, but I ended up really liking it. It's hard to describe the smell, its almost like a perfumey sort of smell, not natural at all (as I described Bobbi Brown to be).

The website describes the product as:

This multi-benefit moisturiser immediately restores skin's appearance for a radiant, clear, natural looking glow. Over time, naturally-derived Biodormin™ technology supports skin's natural cell metabolism rate to help fight the visible effects caused by stress.

I later found out that this was more for older women skin, and thats why at the beginning of the year I started noticing that my skin was no longer benefiting from this product. I couldnt feel like it was working its magic and with anything you use for a long time, your body becomes 'immune' as I like to call it. Therefore the effects of the product are minimal.

 Benefits:
  • Immediately restores skin's appearance for a radiant, clear, natural looking glow.
  • Helps even skin tone and texture.
  • Helps minimise the look of fine lines and combat the appearance of new ones.
  • Provides deep hydration to replenish and revitalise so skin stays younger looking longer.
I have decided to stop using this product after I finished this tub. Although I thoroughly enjoyed using this product when I started, I dont think its worth the money ($90). Im looking around for another face moisturiser, at the moment Im eyeing Bobbi Browns collection.

Let me know what you guys think.

Keep Smiling :)

Elizabeth Arden Haul

So I went shopping today, and I needed a good day moisturiser. I had been using the Elizabeth Arden Intervene for a while, but wanted to try something new. But as soon as I found out they were having a gift time special I had to buy it.

I bought the Elizabeth Arden Intervene- Radiance Boosting Day cream with spf 15. It's really good for people with dry skin but doesnt leave the skin feeling oily. This is my third tub, and I had gone around to other stalls such as Lancome,Clinque, Bobbi Brown, MAC, YSL but I have to say this is something my skin absolutely loves. There is a noticeable difference within a week to my skin complexion, my skin feels smooth and radiant!

In the gift pack I got:
  • lipstick- 02 perfect brick
  • pallette- with 2 eyeshadows (graphite, platinum), 2 lipcolours (radiant mauve, sparkling ruby) and a cheekcolour (sunblush)
  • all gone- lip and eye makeup remover intervene- skin tone perfecting capsules
  • ceramide- lash extending treatment mascara
  • intervene- stress recovery night cream
  • intervene- radiance boosting moisture cream
  • intervene- anti fatigue eye cream
  • Pretty elizabeth Arden Eau de Parfum
I was lucky enough to have a special friend buy me this as a gift! So nice :). He's absolutely gorgeous!

I will be trying out a new night time regime which I will be posting soon, to try out these new products!

Elizabeth Arden Eye and Lip Makeup Remover

I recently got this eye and lip makeup remover by Elizabeth Arden. I absolutely love it!
It has two distinct liquids (not sure if you can see it in the photo) but before you wear it you need to shake the bottle to mix the two liquids together. It forms this gorgeous glittery liquid. It instantly removes the makeup in one swipe!

Love this product!

Silvery Look for the Night

I got this look using:
  • Elizabeth Ardens pallettes
  • eco tools brushes
  • DB shadows
I applied Elizabeth Ardens brown on my lid (the camera isnt picking up the true colour)

Using DB pallettes dark reddish brown (the one with the hole in it, the last row second from the left)

Applied to the crease plus you can see the true colour of the 'brown' in this picture

Applied like so

Elizabeth Ardens kit, I used the grey/black on the top left hand corner

Applied that to the outer edge

Kept blending and dragged the colour to the bottom as well

looking something like this

After blending it out

Applied the white highlight from the Elizabeth Ardens kit to brow bone and blended with the rest

Looking something like this

End Result :)

I finished off with Maybelline Gel Liner on the top lid, and Revlon Colour Stay Liner on the bottom lid, and applied one coat of Elizabeth Arden Mascara.

This was just a really quick post on the look I did for the night, when I went out for dinner. Hope you guys liked it!

Keep Smiling :)

Elizabeth Arden's Bronzing Powder Duo

The shades without the flash.

Look to the edge of my hand, I tried really hard to capture the shade.. dont think it worked :P

The shades with the flash (you can see the shimmer better).

I find that being a bit tanned/brown skin, its hard to find the right make up to suit you. Over the summer, I fell in love with this bronzer by Elizabeth Arden. Its called the Elizabeth Arden Bronzing Powder Duo, and has to shades which you can use.

I actually received this as a gift when I purchased their Intervene Moisturiser. As you can see I love it so much ive hit pan! I use the darker shade to contour my cheek bones and add a bit of a summer glow, and the other shade I use as a highligher and looks great on my skin, giving it a bit of a shimmer. It comes with its own applicator but I like to use my own bronzing brush.

Keep Smiling :)
