My engagement trial makeup! I did it myself!!

Hey everyone, I don't know why the photo came out vertical when it was clearly saved horizontally. Sorry if it annoys you but I think I've tried everything to turn it around!

Anyways, I would like to announce that I am getting MARRIED! Yay!! So my engagement party is coming up soon. I've been looking for a makeup artist EVERYWHERE! But Im slightly hesitant as I feel the make up artists here (Australia) cannot accommodate for Indian skin, and will make me look like a ghost.

So I have planned to do my own makeup! I had bought some essentials from MAC (as you may have seen in my post earlier). I was actually really happy with the outcome and I think even though a girl likes to be pampered on the day, it may actually be easier for me to do my own makeup. Plus I can buy make up and actually keep it, instead of paying around $200 to get it done professionally.

What do you guys think?

LUSH LUSH LUSH Haul and Review!

I don't think I've been able to express my LUSHFANATICNESS on my blog but I absolutely love LUSH products. Before I started blogging, I was a regular user of the products but then over time it became too expensive. But I have recently discovered the wonder of these products.

I have purchased:
Ro's Argan Body Conditioner (new product)
Retread (my 3rd tub)
Ocean salt (at least my 5th tub)
Buffy (1st time trier)
Butterball (definitely my 7th or 8th one)

I had seen this new product online and wanted to try it out. I have especially dry skin and anything which can cure my dry spells is a plus for me. The girl at the store was really helpful and somewhat hilarious. She explained to me that this Body Conditioner can be used as both a actually wash or a moisturiser.

If you want to use it as a wash then you need to apply it all over (whilst you are in the shower), stand away from the stream of water, let it settle into your body for around 10 minutes, and then wash it off. If you want to use it as a moisturiser, that're pretty straight forward. You just apply after your shower/bath. However, I would personally recommend it as a wash because its quite greasy to wear it as a moisturiser. I love this product because I have extremely dry skin so when I come out of the shower I actually don't feel my skin tightening, my skin feels so soft! AMAZINGGGGGGG PRODUCT :)

I've already used this product heaps of times and still love it. I love the melon smell of it, it makes me feel really calm. I generally go for this product when I am having extreme hair fall like I am having right now. This conditioner because of its natural qualities tends to decrease my hair fall, replenish the moisture in my scalp whilst also softening my tresses! This is a must have for those who have dry, brittle hair!

Another one of my all time favourites. I think it was this product which I had purchased first around 4 years ago. This is an amazing scrub which I used not only for the face but also for the body. You only need a small finger scoop. I love how it smells, definitely a bit salty but also a bit sweet (hard to describe). After I use this scrub my face has that added glow and it feels soft! Which is definitely unusual  because a scrub tends to dry out your skin! LOVE THIS PRODUCT :)

BUTTERBALLL! Amazing product, which makes you feel good inside just by smelling it. I know that sounds a bit wierd, but I don't know what it is about this product but the scent is amazing! Ive used it a few times in the bath and because I have dry skin, this really helps to replenish the moisture back into my skin.

BUFFY! This is the first time I tried out this product and I think I'm in love <3! This is an amazing product which works magnificently on the skin. When I know its the day to exfoliate I get this slight joy of excitement knowing I'll be using this product. It's ultra moisturising but at the same time scrubs away all your dead cells.  Great for dry skin!

The Bodyshop Haul!

Hello hello! So I've visited the Bodyshop a few times. I did not buy all these products at once but one separate occasions! I have been using the Vitamin E face mist for around 5 months now, and absolutely love it! It's a really refreshing spray to apply before your moisturiser.

The other products I purchased:
Hemp Hand Protector
Vit C Face Spray
Olive Body Butter

I have just started using the Vit C spray. The actual spray itself is quite strong as compared to the 'mist' of the Vit E one. However, I love the smell and the way the Vit C feels on my skin. I instantly feel refreshed after applying it.

I have already tried the Hemp Hand Protector, which is great for really dry hands like mine. Since winter is around the corner for us, I thought I'd purchase this to cure my poor hands.

I haven't tried the Olive Body Butter before, and actually don't know what it smells like since it was given to me by my dad. Im sure it will be wonderful like all the rest of Bodyshops body butters!

(sorry about the quality of the photo)

Keep Smiling :)

Give me colour- Outfit ideas with a boost of turquoise!

I wanted to share with you this latest purchase of mine- my big turquoise chunky necklace. I absolutely love it. It came in three shades- black, navy blue and turquoise. The black would have been a safer option but I opted for the brightest and a slight out of my comfort-zone choice.

These are 3 outfit ideas I put together!

Who said I'm not fun look

I paired a tunic coral/watermelon pink top which has some gold detailing on the neckline with a brown jumper/cardi. I then added the necklace to give it that extra dimension and chic look to the outfit.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

I want a Holiday look

Here's another idea with the same concept of wearing the turquoise necklace with a coral/watermelon pink.

In this instance I added a white longish top (so it can be worn on tights) with a coral/watermelon pink button up shirt with really nice detailing on the top and then added the necklace. This outfit really reminds me of the beaches or some tropical island where you can sit back and enjoy the nature.

After work look

My main concept behind this look was that when at work you have to be professional and it may be at some places you can wear statement pieces such as this, but in a lot of cases we aren't so lucky.

By keeping the necklace in your bag, as soon as you finish work and are ready to go out you can add this necklace to your outfit and there you have it- a more relaxed and fun going outfit is created with just the small hint of colour.

Hope you guys found this useful! Let me know if you have any ideas like this. Keep smiling :)

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream Review

As most of you know I had blogged about purchasing a large amount of Bobbi Brown products when I was recently in NYC. One of the products I had purchased was this Hydrating Eye Cream. I have had a chance to try it out over the last 3 months and therefore I can do an honest opinion of what I think about it.

I love Bobbi Brown products as most of you who follow my blog know. Absolutely love her foundations and makeup especially her SPF Foundation which I've done a review about.

Texture
This eye cream is quite 'thin' and not so thick in nature. It glides on fairly easily under the eyes, so you don't end up rubbing and tugging (which can cause further broken capillaries) at your eyes.

Do I like this product? And will I be purchasing this again?
Probably not. I'm sorry to say (sorry Bobbi Brown) that I did not enjoy this product and I actually didn't find any change in my dark circles or any effect around my eyes whatsoever. I luckily bought this in New York so it was half the price for what I would've purchased it here which is around $60 AUD. I did wear this product day and night. When I apply the product yes it feels hydrating but nothing like 'OMG MY EYES FEEL SO GOOD'. I think any other product has the same effect. Everyone's skin is different, this product didn't suit me and also I saw it didn't work for Allthatglitters on youtube.

I am yet to find the perfect eye cream. I was really excited and dying to try this product for a long time but unfortunately this product did not live up to my standards and I would not splurge out to buy this product again.

This product may work for you but it didn't work for me.

What's your favourite eye cream?

My new MAC products!

I know Ive been MIA for a while but believe it or not I have not stopped my shoppinh fetish. I have bought so many new products over the past few months that it may take a while to get all the products on my blog. I wanted to start with my recent purchase. I have never tried MAC products before and I know that almost every youtuber/blogger has raved about MAC products and are religious users of the brand.

So I thought why not add it to my collection. I bought 4 products. These include:
Cranberrry Eyeshadow
Rubenesque Paint Pot
Hush Colour Cream Base
Fake Lashes

In order from left to right: Rubenesque paint pot, cranberry eyeshadow and Hush cream colour.

Here are a few swatches on my skin colour. Im realy happy with the choice of the paint pot in rubenesque as well as the cranberry eyeshadow. Not so happy with Hush. I actually wanted another shade but the assistant at the MAC counter told me otherwise. I should have swatched it in store to see it on my skin tone, but I didnt and I actually think it's a bit too light for my skin and I look more 'oily' then 'glowy'.

Fake lashes! My first pair :). Im really unsure how I'll wear them. Question for those who wear lashes- do u apply mascara on them once you add them on?

Hope you enjoyed my mini haul of my new MAC products!

Keep smiling :)

Bobbi Brown Chocolate & Gold Eye Paint Palette

Another purchase from New York was this Chocolate & Gold Eye Paint Palette. This palette includes four beautiful shades- gold, bronze, chocolate and black gold. There are two different sets you can purchase, the other is Onyx & Silver Eye Paint Palette. I chose the Chocolate & Gold palette because of my skin tone. Since I have tanned skin, I feel these shades will look much better (giving you a sun kissed glow :)).
Photo courtesy of bobbibrown.com.au. This is the Onyx & Silver eye paint palette.

The photo isn't picking up the shades to their true beauty but these shades are highly shimmery and contain small glitter particles. It has been recommended to use these shades wet for easier application and better depth in colour.

Unfortunately I can't find the Chocolate & Gold Eye paint palette on the Australian website. It may have been discontinued or sold out, not sure. However, there are similar shades in Bobbi Browns other palettes which may be worth a try.

Love the packaging, very sleek and sophisticated.

I'll be doing a full review on the pigmentation of the shades in my next post. I will compare how the shades look applied dry and wet.

Keep smiling :)
