LAKME Eye Liners Review

I have posted the blush in a previous post, but these are the things I got from India. I will do posts for each product except the magazine :)

I needed eye liners and I have had good experience with Lakmes liners. I had their ink liner called Lakme Eye Artist before and used it up till the last drop. Absolutely love this liner and I decided to get it again.

I also bought their Nine to Five, Forever Silk Eyeliner, which is the standard black eye pencil but I was really surprised at the pigmentation and the creaminess of the product!

The tip is really fine making it a whole lot easier to line your eyes and make any look you want. The product is very consistent and none of that 'stop' 'start' thing going on. Gives you precision and quality.

This is the eye pencil, its a roll up however I think I may have broken it, and it refused to twist up. Do any of you know how to fix the problem with out taking the whole thing apart?

The eyeliner is to the right, you can notice the density of the black. I was seriously amazed at the creaminess and ease I could apply this liner. I previously used the Revlon eyeliner and it never gave me such pigment and I would have to do a few swipes on my bottom lash line to get even a slight darkness. Definitely a huge thumbs up for this product!

Both eyeliners are long lasting and the new Nine to Five range is supposed to last you at least 8 hrs and I can guarantee you it does. This is the liners after ive rubbed and washed them vigorously. When I wear the eyeliners they stay on all day without a smudge! Now if that isnt good I dont know what is. I will definitely repurchase the products continuously unless I find a product which marks this high in my books!

Crimson Eyes Makeup Tutorial

Crimson red is definitely in this season (esp for those in the US). Since we're ending winter in Aus, I thought I'd do a nice crimson look.

I'm going to be using the two reds at the bottom next to the purple, the watermelon red, the brown with the dent in it and the darkest purple for the edge and the white/gold for the highlight.

Start with your eyes primed  and cover the base with rimmels white eye pencil just to allow the colours to really pop.

I've put on Covergirl's Smokey Eye colour blast cream shadow (I did a post on it a few days ago). This allows the eye shadows to really stick to the eye (this is what I have noticed) and since I cant wear the shadow by itself I'm using it as a base.

I added the watermelon red all over my eye but stopping just  before my eyebrow

Now I'm using a red on the crease to really bring in the colour, sweeping it all across and bringing it down the lower lash line

I don't have it on the other eye, so you can see the difference.

Adding the brown/ purple to the outer edge and bringing it down to bring depth to the eyes

This picture is taken with flash so I can show you the colour however be mindful that my colours dont look so bright in real life as you will notice in the end pictures.

I used the ecotools brushes

I used: covergirls smokey eye shadow(purple), eco tools brushes, white rimmel eye pencil, revlon black eye pencil and elizabeth ardens mascara.

I added a touch of gold to the inner corner and lining bottom and top line with black eyeliner. Coat your lashes in mascara.

And you are done! Here is a beautiful crimson look for you to wear day/ night (depending on your application of the colours). I love this look as it looks great on tanned skin!

Hope you guys enjoyed!

LAKME Insta Liner Water Resistance Eyeliner

I didn't realise the photograph wasn't picking up the text on the bottle.
I recently got this Lakme liquid eyeliner ordered from India. Don't get confused thinking its a nailpolish (thats what I did!). It's actually a liquid eyeliner, I thought the bottle is quite handy and with the glass bottle, its quite elegant.

Luckily I took a close up so you can see the text on the bottle!

Thats the applicator, to be completely honest, I didnt like the applicator that much. I would much rather prefer to get my own brush and use it. The consistency is really nice and it applies really well. Another problem with the applicator is that when you are applying it because of the product build up on the brush, it tends to get caught up on your lashes which can be rather messy!

I did a few swatches for you to see the way it applies but more importantly the consistency of the product. I love how dark the actual black is, because when you get a few liquid eyeliners, they tend to be quite runny so it ends up being not as dark as you would like it.

Maybelline Eye Studio Eyeliner

Sorry for the blurry photos, my camera just wouldnt focus!

So on a shopping expedition I saw this liner and thought I should I try it out!

First Impressions
I had always had the pencil or wet liners but never tried applying liner with a brush. So I was quite excited at the prospect of trying this out. I loved the packaging because it looked very classy.

A few strokes later...
I first used it out on a night out and I have to say I wasnt completely impressed. It was quite smudgy and not a precise application like a pen-liner. I guess practice makes perfect?

Cons -
One thing I found was that if I was in a rush (like I usually am for Uni) I couldn't manage to line my eyes properly because I had to keep picking up product which was time consuming but like I said practice makes perfect!

Pros +
It does allow you to vary the degree of intensity when lining your eyes.

Rating
I would rate this a 3.5/5 stars!

Keep smiling :)
