Diwali Special- Styling an Outfit

The salwar kameez I wore to the Diwali Mela where I live. I thought I would show you the jewelery I wore with it.

I love the embroidery of the delicate flowers and the colour combination of this suit, very festive!

I paired it with some magenta earrings, some colourful rings and a blue bracelet. I forgot to add the shoes, but I wore some hot pink 'jootiyas'.

Love the button detailing and the change in texture of the material.

Net sleeves.

Dupatta- a dual colour with contrasting colours.

Happy Choti Diwali to all my followers!

Style an Outfit- Dotty

This is a gorgeous dress to wear during a picnic or just a nice day out!
I  love the spots because its definitely something a bit more retro!

It  ties up at the waiste which really gives you a beautiful hourglass/ feminine figure (it definitely makes  you feel very lady like!)

Its a wrap dress with an insert

First thing I would pair this with is a red bolero. It just goes soo well with the black dots (again sticking to the 'retro' theme)

I think a definite statement piece can be used. It'll really tie the outfit together. I chose these chunky black beads

As you can see the beads have a umber tint to it so it goes well with the red bolero

if you dont like statement pieces you can always swap it for a more delicate chain necklace such as the one above. it can jus hang loosely from your neck!

I wanted to show you guys a picture of me wearing the dress. I chose to close up the buttons and not include the necklace and instead chose silver hooped earrings. What do you guys think?

style an Outfit: Picasso Blues

I got this simple blue dress, it has a V neck at the front and I cant wear this by itself ie I need to wear it with tights. But I really liked it and I didnt want to wait t ill summer to wear it so I'll show you how I styled it.

I added this beautiful floral scarf I got from Chiang Mai (and I  have done a post about it before). It went really well with the dress because the scarf had hints of the blue in it.

I think by adding the scarf it really gave the dress a more sophisticated look

Since its cold here, I paired it with a black jacket. The jacket in the picture looks too big for the outfit but once worn it looks perfect. I would also wear black tights and some black boots to really tie the whole look together. So you now you dont have to feel blue in the winter with your outfits, try something different and a pop of colour wont harm anyone if worn properly!

Also I would like to apologise for the lack of posts but I got tied up in my Uni work!!

Style an Outfit- Tunic Look

I fell in love with this tunic style dress and the quality of the dress is amazing! it flows really well.
It comes with an insert singlet, which looks silky and works really well with the dress.

It has gorgeous ruffles at the front. And you can see its not white its a very light cream

To style it with the dress, pair it with a denim vest it makes it look very chic and gives it more shape

I think the light colour of the denim works well with the dress.

I would pair this with an bronze/gold jewellery to really tie in the look together

Style an Outfit- Summer Ruffles

I love this nice flowy dress because of its ruffles. I thought Id show you guys how I would accessorise this dress

I chose the necklace because I think it would go great (anythign with a long chain and a pendant would go well with the outfit because it already has quite a detailed top ie the ruffles you dont want to opt for chunky necklaces). However I wouldnt pair the necklace with the bangles ive chosen (as below) i would go for something simple, in the same colour theme as the necklace so vintage gold, black and silver.
I would not wear all of these pieces together but I wanted to show you what I think work well with the dress

The chunky floral bangle- definitely give the outfit a summery and feminine feel to it I would pair them with the gold/brown bangles you can see to the right
The floral ring- I would also wear the ring on the same hand as the bangles but be mindful dont over do it on one hand.

You can also wear some simple gold earrings but I wouldn't pair this with the necklace or the big floral bangle. Instead I would choose to stick to some nice basic gold bangles (like the ones above) and keep the outfit quite simple.

I think for the summer, some gladiator flats would be perfect to really tie the outfit in together. However if you are on the short side opt for soemthing that wont cut you off at the ankles because this might give the illusion that you are shorter than you acutally are. Try some wedges!

Have a great weekend :)

Style an Outfit- Mauves and Roses

I got this beautiful dress and I wanted to show you how you can style it  up.
It came with a brown belt. I would use it because it just went so well with the outfit.
The dress gathers on the waist giving a very flattering shape as well as the neckline which has folds/ layers, thereby giving you more 'volume' up the top.

I paired it with this necklace from Diva. I thought the colours went really well together and they almost nearly matched.

Since its winters here, you cant leave without a cardi. I saw this cardi and fell in love with it. Usually I stick to black/ grey/ brown jumpers but I thought why not add a bit m ore fun to it. I loved the rose patterns and the beading inside the roses. It made the outfit look a bit more feminine and sophisticated.

This was a simple way to style a simple dress.

Style an Outfit- Colour & Stripes

For this stylish look- keep reading!

Take any simple striped top (preferably black and white for this look).
Cotton On: $10

You can see that the sleeves have an added 'puff' which is not necessary.

Add a hot pink cardigan/ throw over/ jacket etc. This is really soft and the material is thin so definitely wearable for chilly days!
Target: $4

Bold Colours are definitely in right now!

Add a pair of black tights to the combo!

You can see at the back of the tights, there is an exposed zipper which gives the look an edgy feel to it.
Myer $10

Add a statement necklace
Diva: $20

I love the ribbon  in the neckalce- adds class to it and looks very chic!

Nearly there!

SHOES! You can go for flats/ heels anythin! I chose these heels which are my ultimate favourite because they go well with the tights.

To finish it off- this statement hot pink Guess bag!

Keep Smiling :)
