Bobbi Brown Chocolate & Gold Eye Paint Palette

Another purchase from New York was this Chocolate & Gold Eye Paint Palette. This palette includes four beautiful shades- gold, bronze, chocolate and black gold. There are two different sets you can purchase, the other is Onyx & Silver Eye Paint Palette. I chose the Chocolate & Gold palette because of my skin tone. Since I have tanned skin, I feel these shades will look much better (giving you a sun kissed glow :)).
Photo courtesy of bobbibrown.com.au. This is the Onyx & Silver eye paint palette.

The photo isn't picking up the shades to their true beauty but these shades are highly shimmery and contain small glitter particles. It has been recommended to use these shades wet for easier application and better depth in colour.

Unfortunately I can't find the Chocolate & Gold Eye paint palette on the Australian website. It may have been discontinued or sold out, not sure. However, there are similar shades in Bobbi Browns other palettes which may be worth a try.

Love the packaging, very sleek and sophisticated.

I'll be doing a full review on the pigmentation of the shades in my next post. I will compare how the shades look applied dry and wet.

Clever Clasp- Store your rewards card the smart way

Do you have a number of rewards cards but just don't know what to do with them? I was looking at my wallet which was about to explode from its seams because I have so many cards. Then I thought of an idea- why not put all the rewards cards in one bundle.

I punched holes in all my cards (except bank and medical cards). I placed my favourite quote card at the front to give me inspiration. Then I put a clip through all the cards as seen in the picture and there you have it, a bundle of your rewards cards. This  means you won't be rummaging through your wallet and bag when asked if you want a stamp for your next free coffee.

Convenient way to store your cards.

The clasp

My favourite quote which I had bought when I was in High School.

Do you have any clever ways of storing your cards?

Bobbi Brown EXTRA Repair Foundation SPF 25

I thought I would show you the difference between this foundation and the new foundation I purchased which I did a post about just recently. I think you can see difference in consistency and colour. This is the shade Golden (the other was Honey). I feel had a bit too much yellow for my skin colour and I come out looking orange BUT its a great winter foundation as it keeps your skin nice and moisturized.

This is the thick consistency.

Shade Golden.

You can actually see the difference in my skin tone and the Golden shade of this foundation. As you can see it has a very yellow/orange  undertone which is easily noticeable.

Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer + Corrector review

I also purchased from New York a corrector and concealer for my dark under eye circles.
I had talked to the girl at the counter and asked her about my under eye circles and asked what can be done about it. I had heard a lot of people raving about Bobbi Browns correctors and concealers.

I got this two images from the website. I wanted to show you what the website says about the two products.

The girl at the counter colour matched me and I ended up with the tones Dark Peach for my corrector and Honey for my concealor. Both work really well with my dark skin tone.
A heads up that I learnt whilst using these products, you really need to blend and tap them into the skin otherwise it will leave a streaky finish (which is definitely not attractive!).

I know it's a bit blurry but you can sort of make out the words :).

My thoughts:
I do like these products, they are definitely worth the long hunt and wait. I have severe under eye circles and these products have made such a big change that I not only look better and more awake but I feel confident. I think the Bobbi Brown range in general is great for Indian (or coloured) skin girls like myself because her shades are very natural. You may be thinking $20+ for each of these is a bit pricey, but to be honest anything that conceals my dark under eyes I will take it.

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF 15 Review

As promised I had said I will be doing reviews on the Bobbi Brown products I got from New York. They are definitely much cheaper in the US then they are in Australia. I paid almost half of what I would've if I purchased it here.

The first thing I wanted to pick up was this Bobbi Brown Foundation. If you have been following me on my blog you would know that I had purchased another foundation from Bobbi Brown. I had started finding that that foundation was a bit too heavy in the summer since it was so highly moisturising.

I chose this foundation because it has added SPF which is a must if you're living in a sunny place like Australia.

The foundation claims that it is:
Lightweight, water-based foundation instantly hydrates and freshens.
For combination, normal and normal to dry skins.
  • Hydrates skin and gives it an instantly fresh look
  • buildable coverage evens out skin tone while looking completely natural
  • long-wearing formula resists streaking
  • provides broad-spectrum protection from sun's damaging rays
What is my verdict?
Love, love, love this product! I am a HUGE Bobbi Brown fan and I am slowly buying all my products from her range. This foundation is definitely amazing. If you have tanned skin like me and don't want to look like you have foundation on (like those awful ones which makes you look like a ghost) then this is the foundation for you. Your skin looks so healthy and actually gives you this extra glow. Not only does it do wonders for your skin but it boosts your confidence because you know that your skin is looking good (a definite extra tick from me). So if you want amazing natural looking skin then this is definitely the foundation to choose.

I am the shade Honey (perfect for yellow toned Indian skin)

Perfect pump.

Can you tell I have something on? Ofcourse not! That's the beauty of this foundation!

Have any of you tried this?

Keep Smiling :)

Also just to let you guys know, Bobbi Brown has two books on make up! I will be reviewing them soon!

My Bobbi Brown Collection- upcoming post

Hey everyone, on my trip to the US I accumulated quite the Bobbi Brown collection. I will be doing a range of posts on the collection and telling you what I think about the various products I have purchased. So if you are interested make sure you keep checking on my latest posts!

NAKED Palette Review

I know what you all must be thinking, "I've already seen this palette so many times". I know, I know this palette has been tried tested many many times and I have seen the evidence myself on countless videos and blogs. Why did I then choose to do a review on it? Well firstly, I only just managed to get my hands on it since I was in the US last month. And secondly, I think every review is different as everyone comes with their own opinions about a certain product.

I have no heard the NAKED palette 2 has just been released, what great timing when I JUST got the first one :). However, after looking at many reviews I think the better one out of the two would definitely be the first one for Indian skin tone (which is what I am).

The beautiful shades.

My favourite shades- these shades I think suit Indian skin very nicely (comment below if you would like to see a tutorial).

The palette came with a brush and a small potion bottle.

My thoughts: I think the palette is really a must have as many of you have mentioned. I think its particularly good for those who are just starting up with make up and want something more on the neutral side. It comes with numerous shades which you can play around with and create from subtle to dramatic looks.
On the price range- it is a bit pricey for my liking. It cost me $48 USD (which is slightly lower for AUD). However, I have been using it constantly so when you balance up the use and the cost I think it's worth it in that sense.
I don't personally like the potion that comes with it. Many of the bloggers have raved about it but I don't know, I've tried it countless times but it doesn't do the job for me. I might be trying out the NARS eye primer and see my luck with that.
Recommendation: I would personally recommend these to darker skin toned girls, like myself. I think all the shades look amazing on tanned skin especially Half Baked and Smog which are my favourite!

Let me know what you guys think about the palette or post any videos you have on it, I would love to see them!

I am BACK!

Hey everyone,

Sorry for not posting anything on my blog for a few months. I have been busy travelling and working. I have just come back from the USA and had an absolutely amazing time. I visited New York, San Francisco, L.A. and Las Vegas. I was incredibly lucky to have such great weather as well! Whilst I was there, I picked up a few beauty goodies :). I can't wait to show you what I got and share my views about the products.

Hope you all had a great new year celebration! Get ready to see an ultimate change on my blog this year!

Keep smiling :)
