For this stylish look- keep reading!

Take any simple striped top (preferably black and white for this look).
Cotton On: $10

You can see that the sleeves have an added 'puff' which is not necessary.

Add a hot pink cardigan/ throw over/ jacket etc. This is really soft and the material is thin so definitely wearable for chilly days!
Target: $4

Bold Colours are definitely in right now!

Add a pair of black tights to the combo!

You can see at the back of the tights, there is an exposed zipper which gives the look an edgy feel to it.
Myer $10

Add a statement necklace
Diva: $20

I love the ribbon  in the neckalce- adds class to it and looks very chic!

Nearly there!

SHOES! You can go for flats/ heels anythin! I chose these heels which are my ultimate favourite because they go well with the tights.

To finish it off- this statement hot pink Guess bag!

Style an Outfit- On a Budget: Colour & Nudes

1. Pick a dress- Valleygirl Dress $10
Really pretty subtle dress, which has a criss-cross back and sinches at the waist with a belt.

The pattern is gorgeous- with hints of pale blue, pink and purple.

2. Add a jacket- Valleygirl $20
Something that is light and wearable even in warm weather.

This is a cropped jacket with a really nice 'bomber' jacket feel to it. Gives the outfit a bit of edge to it.

3. Dress it up with a necklace
I chose to stay in the neutral pallete, with a white and silver chunky necklace.

It fits the edgy style of the jacket.

4. Shoes- Either wear sandals
These are from Mochi around $30
I chose them for a pop of colour and they go brilliantly with the shades of colour of the dress.

4. Shoes- Or some nude ballet flats
These go great with the outfit, and balance with the jacket. They give the outfit a bit more of a 'formal' feel to them and work great for day-night outfits.

Hope you enjoyed this simple ways of putting together outfits!

Keep Smiling :)

John Frieda Collection- Luxurious Volume REVIEW

Have you ever wanted gorgeous voluminous luxurious hair? I do/did. My hair has the tendancy to become what we girls call 'flat' after the second day of washing. Im a huge believer of only washing your hair every 2/3 days. So, wanting gorgeous hair everyday would mean it is impossible right? Wrong.

I came across this product line from John Frieda. I was actually out on the search for his other collection 'root awakening'. But when I stumbled across this product line, I had to have it.

First Use
I was so excited to use the products, that I used them the day I got it. The shampoo wasn't that great, it didnt lather and I ended up having to go back for more and more product. The conditioner was nice and creamy and applied easily. I can't say I enjoyed the smell as compared to the many other hair care ranges I've tried but was reasonable.

After washing, I towel dried my hair and applied the "Lavish Lift Root Booster" (in the 3rd photo). I applied this all over my roots and on the top. I then left my hair to air dry for 15 mins. I then blow dried my hair- flipping my hair upside down to increase the volume at the roots.

The end result
Ok, to be truthful it definitely did add volume to my hair. AND IT WAS SO SOFT! I loved the feeling of it being so light and fluffy. A downside of the product, was that my hair became a bit 'too fluffly' like it was like a 'poof', I had to straighten my hair to calm the tresses down.

However, I will definitely be using this product when I want that extra lift at the roots!

Rating
I'd rate this product a 3/5 stars

What do you guys use to volumise your  hair?

FIMOJ: Week 4

This is my 1 month anniversary for FIMOJ. Those of you who have followed this journey, you already know that I fit into my jeans. But I wanted to be able to feel great in my jeans rather than fit into them but only just. I have shed 4 kilos and my body feels much more tighter than before. I've been working out 4/5 times a week and I have been focusing on weights rather than cardio. My stomach is nearly flat again and my arms are solid and no longer have flab hanging off them.

I've been eating healthy BUT I have not deprived myself of eating my favourite foods such as chocolate (now and then). I made sure that if I privileged myself to such contiments I was able to work even harder to burn it off. I think if you can get a good balance between the foods you eat and exercise you'll be amazed at how you can really make a difference to your appearance AND you'll start feeling really good about yourself.

The added benefit of healthy eating and exercise would have to be the glow its added to my skin, since exercise increases circulation and gets the blood pumping.

I want to lose a further 4 kilos then I think I won't be aiming to FIMOJ but aiming to keep fit. Since a woman's bone density only increases till the age of 25- from then its only downhill. So I want to make sure my body is fit and I can maintain myself like that for the years to come!

Garden Salad with a Crepe'
Open Sandwich with mushrooms and cherry tomatoes
My treat- hazelnut and chocolate cake! mmmm

Keep smiling :)

Ps: I will be holding a giveaway very soon! Keep checking :)

REVIEW: Evodia- Mango and pink grapefruit whipped body butter

The name of this product describes it perfectly. I saw it at a department store and tried out the tester. The smell is absolutely amazing! I got the mango and pink grapefruit flavour but it also has shea butter (which is great for dry skin!).

The BodyShop body butter vs Evodia

Normally Im used to having The BodyShops body butters and when you open the tub its usually not that thick and the scent only lingers for a few hrs. I have to apply quite a bit of the butter to be satisfied its covered me completely.

With Evodia, I was so amazed that the scent (which is absolutely amazing) stays on your skin until the next time you have a shower! Now isnt that something :). I don't even need to put on any perfume and I've had compliments about how nice I smell and all I have on is this product. When I opened the lid of the product for the first time it was like heaven. The product was filled up to the lid of the tub (not like other brands where it only comes 2/3s full) and when I dipped my finger into the butter it actually was like the title describde 'whipped', it is so creamy (I actually feel like eating it!).

Lasting Effects

I have to say that this is a great luxury body butter if you want to spoil yourself once in a while. It is great for dry skin (I have really dry skin, and living in such a dry and hot climate such as Australia makes it important to restore the moisture in my skin).

Rating
I would give this product a definite 5/5 stars!

Moroccanoil treatment for hair

I know its been a while since I did my last post, but ive been up to my eyeballs in work and assignments! Finally the weekend is here and I get a chance to do a breather.

I went out this week and bought the Morrocanoil Hair Treatment because I had been hearing alot of good reviews on youtube and other blogs. It cost a hand and a leg ($50), I usually don't like to spend so much on hair products because I feel like youll be washing it out anyway. But I had alot of success with the Macademia Healing Oil Treatment (pic below) so I decided to see what all the fuss about this product was about.

First Impressions: The smell is not as great as the Macademia Healing Oil. The consistency is much thinner so it feels much lighter on your hair when youre applying it (you apply it on damp hair like the Macademia). After my hair dried, my hair felt so soft and so silky! It was amazing! It was a great result and I am very happy with the product but I have to say the Macademia Healing Oil Treatment produces the same results and a much cheaper price.

There may be a difference in continuous use, so after using it a few more times I'll post my latest review on the product.

Shiny Hair :)
