Diwali Special- Styling an Outfit

The salwar kameez I wore to the Diwali Mela where I live. I thought I would show you the jewelery I wore with it.

I love the embroidery of the delicate flowers and the colour combination of this suit, very festive!

I paired it with some magenta earrings, some colourful rings and a blue bracelet. I forgot to add the shoes, but I wore some hot pink 'jootiyas'.

Love the button detailing and the change in texture of the material.

Net sleeves.

Dupatta- a dual colour with contrasting colours.

Happy Choti Diwali to all my followers!

Style an Outfit- On a Budget: Colour & Nudes

1. Pick a dress- Valleygirl Dress $10
Really pretty subtle dress, which has a criss-cross back and sinches at the waist with a belt.

The pattern is gorgeous- with hints of pale blue, pink and purple.

2. Add a jacket- Valleygirl $20
Something that is light and wearable even in warm weather.

This is a cropped jacket with a really nice 'bomber' jacket feel to it. Gives the outfit a bit of edge to it.

3. Dress it up with a necklace
I chose to stay in the neutral pallete, with a white and silver chunky necklace.

It fits the edgy style of the jacket.

4. Shoes- Either wear sandals
These are from Mochi around $30
I chose them for a pop of colour and they go brilliantly with the shades of colour of the dress.

4. Shoes- Or some nude ballet flats
These go great with the outfit, and balance with the jacket. They give the outfit a bit more of a 'formal' feel to them and work great for day-night outfits.

Hope you enjoyed this simple ways of putting together outfits!

OOTD: Semi Formal

I had a meeting I had to attend at the University but it wasn't as such a 'formal' evening, so I decided to wear my jeans (yes I was so happy I fit into them already!), a ruffle front top and a blazer with scrunched up sleeves. I love wearing ruffles especially if I am wearing a jumper or a jacket. I feel like it makes the outfit less 'boring' and a bit more done up. Sorry for the quality of the photo, still learning the setting on my camera!

The simple makeup look I did, using two elizabeth arden shadows; brown for lid, grey for outercorner, maybelline gel eyeliner, elizabeth arden mascara, stila concealer.I wanted to keep it very natural and simple.

Keep Smiling :)
